Nutrition and Weight Management:

I will help you understand how to eat healthily and help you with weight loss

Core strength:

This is very important for everybody! The core muscles (those muscles that help support your low back) are quite weak in most people. This can cause low back problems, which can be improved with core exercises. For this I use a variety of equipment, including Swiss ball, Bosu and your body weight.

Cardiovascular fitness:

Your cardiovascular system is your heart and lungs working together. So improving your cardiovascular fitness is very important to keeping you fit and healthy. Exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness are any that increase your heart rate and breathing, such as power walking, running, swimming, cycling etc.

ImageCircuit Training

Circuit training is an efficient and challenging form of conditioning that develops strength, endurance (both aerobic and anaerobic), flexibility and coordination all in one exercise session. It is one of the few forms of fitness training that has been shown to effectively develop both strength and cardiovascular fitness in the same exercise session.

CIRCUIT TRAINING TIMETABLE:

MONDAY:  Puckeridge and Standon Community Centre -  7.30pm

THURSDAY: Berden Village Hall, nr Clavering – 7.15pm (Term Time Only)

ImageFitness Boot Camp

These bootcamp/circuit training sessions can deliver excellent results under the professional guidance of Harriet. They provide both cardio,  strength and core training in one workout. They are a great fat burner and will improve fitness and body tone and leave you feeling great for the rest of the day! They also complement other sports perfectly, and are suitable for any fitness level as you can work at your own pace.

To keep things interesting and fun, each session  incorporates different exercises. You will use equipment ranging from agility ladders, hurdles, medicine balls and skipping ropes. In each session you will also have body weight exercises to improve core and upper body strength.

The bootcamp sessions are held outside at various venues, regardless of the weather. The two circuit training sessions are held indoors.

The main benefit of this type of training can be summed up with these words:
MAXIMUM RESULTS IN THE MINIMUM TIME

Testimonials

Harriet is a very professional personal trainer. She takes her job very seriously – she is firm but fair in her approach to your goals.

Harriet makes every training session achievable – she will work you hard, but that is what you want and need in a personal trainer.

She is very dedicated and inspired.

Harriet helped me train for the 2010 London Marathon. Over a period of months I went from running for two minutes to running 20 miles non-stop! I achieved my marathon goal to run the 26.2 miles without stopping. I could not have done it without Harriet.

Under Harriet's expert, professional, caring and friendly guidance, putting me "through my paces" three times a week, my body is now toned up, I speed-walk and run for an hour, enjoy the exercises Harriet puts me through and have lost 24 pounds
